Michael Joseph Jackson (August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009)

Michael Joseph Jackson (August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009) was an American recording artist and entertainer. The seventh child of the Jackson family, he debuted on the professional music scene at the age of 11 as a member of The Jackson 5 and began a solo career in 1971 while still a member of the group. Referred to as the “King of
Pop” in subsequent years, his 1982 Thriller is the world’s best-selling record of all time and four other solo studio albums are also among the world’s best-selling records: Off the Wall (1979), Bad (1987), Dangerous (1991) and HIStory (1995).

What is Influenza A (H1N1)?

Influenza A (H1N1) is a new virus causing illness in people. This new virus was first detected in people in April 2009 in the United States. This virus is spreading from person-to –person, probably in much the same way that the regular seasonal influenza viruses spread. Influenza A (H1N1) is fatal to humans

Signs and symptoms in humans

- similar to the symptoms of regular flu such as

Fever
Headache
Fatigue
Lack of appetite
Runny nose
Sore throat
Cough

· Vomitting or nausea

· Diarrhea

Mode of Transmission

- Exposure to droplets from the cough and sneeze of the infected person
Influenza A (H1N1) is not transmitted by eating thoroughly cooked pork.

Prevention
- Cover your nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing
- Always wash hands with soap and water
- Use alcohol- based hand sanitizers
- Avoid close contact with sick people
- Increase your body's resistance
- Have at least 8 hours of sleep
- Be physically active
- Manage your stress
- Drink plenty of fluids
- Eat nutritious food
